How Long is Recovery from a Mommy Makeover?
Are you interested in undergoing a Mommy Makeover, but not sure how much time you’ll need to take off?
We understand. After all, it can be tough to find a few hours of spare time, let alone take weeks off to recover from plastic surgery. So exactly how long will you need to recover from a Mommy Makeover surgery? And how can you have the fastest, most successful recovery possible?
*Individual Results May Vary.
The Duration of Your Mommy Makeover
The truth is that there’s no one-size-fits-all recovery time for patients after a Mommy Makeover. That’s because the procedure involves so many different surgeries that you may need more time to recover than others, depending on the treatments you opted for.
However, we can give you a recovery range. In general, you should expect about one to two weeks off from work for your most intensive recovery. The remaining portion of your Mommy Makeover recovery will take an additional two to four weeks.
Tips for a Faster Mommy Makeover Recovery
1. Don’t push yourself.
You may want to get back on your feet as soon as possible, but if you go back to work before you’re ready, you could end up putting your results at risk. Use your recovery period as a chance to truly relax and let your body heal after surgery.
2. Get help when you need it.
Depending on the procedures you opt for – like breast augmentation or tummy tuck surgery – your movements may be limited for the first two weeks after surgery. If you still have young children, arrange for help from your partner or family members.
3. Follow your surgeon’s recovery plan.
If you want to heal as fast as possible so you can get back to everyday life, we recommend following your plastic surgeon’s recovery plan right down to the T. Your plan is customized to your specific needs and results, so it’ll offer the best way for you to heal faster while getting your pre-baby body back!
